Types of Fractions:

Proper (common): Denominator is greater than the numerator.
Improper: Numerator is greater than the denominator.
Mixed Numbers: A whole number with a fraction.

Terms to Know:

Numerator: the "top" number in a fraction

Denominator: the "bottom" number in a fraction
