You are here: Past Features > Prepare a Fall Picnic

While the air is still warm, prepare an outdoor feast to share with friends and family. Pick a day, prepare the food, and enjoy a day outdoors.

Step 1: Decide on a Menu
Choose what you would like to eat.

While you can customize the menu to suit your own picnic plans, here are a few simple ideas that you can pack into a cooler or picnic basket:

Step 2: Pack up your basket/cooler.
  • Don't forget to keep lots of water and your favorite beverages on hand in the cooler.
  • Use ice or ice packs to keep the food and drinks cool.
  • Don't forget paper plates, napkins, and any utensils you might need.
  • Pack a blanket or sheet to sit on.
Step 3: Activities

Keep busy and truly enjoy the day!! Plan activities that everyone can enjoy. Put together a touch football game or bring along a frisbee to toss around.

Be Creative and Enjoy!!
