- Heat oven to 350°F.
- In medium bowl, combine crumbs, butter and sugar.
- Press evenly into ungreased 11 x 7 inch baking pan to form base.
Bake for 10 minutes. Cool completely.
- In second medium mixing bowl, combine filling ingredients.
- Spread filling evenly over base. Bake for additional 18-20 minutes,
or until edges are light golden brown. Filling will set as it
cools. Cool completely.
- In 1 quart saucepan, melt chips over low heat, stirring constantly.
- Spread melted chips evenly over bars. Chill until set before
cutting. Store in refrigerator.
Note: To melt chips in microwave, put in medium mixing bowl.
Melt at 50% (medium) for 2 1/2 - 5 1/2 minutes, stirring after every
minute. Continue with recipe as directed.
