| Method |

Peel garlic. Smash each clove just until it cracks.

In saucepan, heat oil and brown garlic cloves until golden brown and then remove them.

Pour tomatoes into bowl . Break apart whole tomatoes into small pieces.

Add tomatoes to pot.

Let simmer for 20 minutes.

Add salt, pepper and basil. Let simmer another 10 minutes.

Toss with pasta and serve with grated parmesan cheese.
